CORRECTION OF DYNAMIC WRINKLES WITH BOTOX
Cosmetic Botox is purified protein obtained from Clostridium Botulinum bacteria. In cosmetic purposes Botox is used for dynamic wrinkles removal on face and neck. When injected in muscle in very small doses, Botox blocks nerve impulses of those muscles which causes loss of dynamic wrinkles.
CANDIDATES FOR BOTOX WRINKLE CORRECTION
Botox candidates are most often patients between 35 and 45 with dynamic wrinkles on their forehead (horizontal frontal, glabellar vertical and glabellar horizontal wrinkles), wrinkles on lateral parts of the eyes (crow's feet) and other wrinkles on face and neck.
BOTOX APPLICATION METHOD
Points of injection are precisely determined before the intervention and are located directly in wrinkles that are vertical to the muscle that causes them. Previously prepared Botox is injected with insulin needles either subcutaneous or in the muscle. This intervention is almost painless and is done without anesthesia.
POSTAPPLICATION TREATMENT
No treatment is required. Cold compresses can be used sometimes. Effect of the Botox starts after 3 days and full effect is achieved in 7 days. Results last from 4 to 7 months. The more often it is done, the longer the effect lasts.
SIDE EFFECTS
They are very rare and include mild hematoma, swelling, redness, temporary weakness of surrounding muscles, drop and flabbiness of surrounding skin. All of the side effects are of passable nature.
